In 2010, Nigerian social entrepreneur Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu won a Rolex Award for Enterprise for creating a radio station to advise smallholder farmers. Now, his latest project, a network of solar-powered, walk-in cold rooms, is revolutionizing Nigeria’s food supply chain.
Trailblazing Nigerian conservationist Rachel Ikemeh is a Laureate of the 2026 Rolex Awards. By involving and equipping communities in the Niger Delta, she is transforming conservation in one of Africa’s most threatened ecosystems, protecting thousands of hectares of forest and threatened species, while improving the livelihoods of local people.

To coincide with the recent release of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 "Navy" shoes, Nike SB riders, including Kyle Wilson, Kyron Davis, and Korahan Gayle, took a trip to Lagos, Nigeria. They stopped off at the skatepark run by Nigerian streetwear brand Waf, hitting up some of their street spots and hanging out with the locals. The trip was documented by Will Miles for Free Skate Magazine, with additional filming by Samuel Kaizer.
